Training Courses for your Dog

All courses run for 6-9 weeks and cost £40 to £45.

All courses can form part of the Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Awards Scheme.

We cannot accept dogs that are aggressive to either other dogs or humans. Please telephone one of the trainers for advice.

Puppy Playgroup

Trainer: Joan Cattell
Thursday 6:30pm
This popular course for puppies up to 5 months old recognises that it is never too early to begin training your dog. The course costs £40 per 6 weeks. You can join this rolling course at any time and continue until your dog is ready to progress. This includes the registration fee for the Kennel Club.

Beginners Courses

Trainers: Irene Scott, Lynn Prince and Liz Spencer.
Monday 8:15pm or Thursday 7:30pm
These courses, for dogs over 5 months old, teach basic skills such as walking to heel, sitting, lying down and coming back when called (recall). All these are done for reward, the favourites being sliced sausage or pieces of cheese!
The good citizen test is taken in the last week of the course.
Both courses cost £45 and this includes registration fee for the Kennel Club.

Next courses commence 24th May 2010 (Mondays 8.15pm) and 24th June 2010 (Thursdays 7.30pm)
