Junior Handler Award
Here at Wigston Magna Dog Training Club, we believe that all the family should be involved in training your dog. It means that everyone is using the same commands, so the dog is less likely to become confused, and it also means everyone builds a good relationship with your dog by working with them.
To that end, we offer our Junior Handler Award as a way to help young children learn how to behave correctly around dogs and get involved with training in a structured way and with your supervision.
The award is designed to run over a four week period, with a set of tasks for each week.
Each successfully completed level earns a certificate, and Level Four also earns a rosette. A colourful chart is provided to mark your child's progress each week and to show your trainer that they have achieved the requirements for that week, so make sure you bring it with you.
